On Tuesday, November 29th 2016, refugee youth in Germany have sent a message against deportations, racism and right wing ideologies. The transnational action has been done as part of the annual conference of Youth without Borders (JoG) and in solidarity with the Immigrant Youth Coalition (IYC) and other migrant youth in the US. Together we are posting photos against racism and deportation with the hashtags #Not1More and #RighttoStayforAll.
Racism and right wing ideology increasingly direct the political discourses in the US, Germany and across the globe. While Donald Trump and his supporters are symptomatic for the racism and right wing ideology in the US, in Germany there has been growing support for the party Alternative for Germany (AfD) and their anti-muslim and anti-refugee slogans. Furthermore, there have been an increase in racist attacks and right wing mobilizations like Pegida (the so called Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West). The AfD and their anti-establishment populism resembles the political project of Trump and they will try to win lots of votes in the upcoming election in September 2017.
However, the strategy of the biggest political parties in Germany has not been to counter the racist mobilizations. Instead, they have passed a series of repressive immigration reforms in the last two years to enhance detention and deportations. The numbers of deportations in Germany are therefore on the rise (up to 21,000 in 2015; this year probably even more) and the government also plans mass deportations to Afghanistan. In the US, deportation numbers went up in the last decade and under the Obama administration more than 2.5 million people have been deported.
That is why we are calling to stop all deportations: #Not1More and #RighttoStayforAll

Am Dienstag, den 29.11.2016, haben jugendliche Flüchtlinge in Deutschland eine Botschaft gegen Abschiebungen, Rassismus und rechte Ideologien gesendet. Die transnationale Aktion fand statt im Rahmen der Konferenz von Jugendliche ohne Grenzen (JoG) und in Solidarität mit der Immigrant Youth Coalition (IYC) und anderen migrantischen Jugendlichen in den USA. Gemeinsam posten wir Fotos gegen Rassismus und Abschiebungen mit den Hashtags #Not1More und #RighttoStayforAll.
Rassismus und rechte Ideologien bestimmen zunehmend die politischen Diskurse in den USA, Deutschland und der ganzen Welt. Während Donald Trump und seine Unterstützer für Rassismus und rechte Ideologien in den USA stehen, ist in Deutschland die Unterstützung für die Partei Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) und ihre anti-muslimischen und flüchtlingsfeindlichen Slogans gewachsen. Außerdem gibt es vermehrt rassistische Angriffe und Mobilisierungen wie Pegida (Patriotische Europäer gegen die Islamisierung des Abendlandes). Die AfD und ihr Populismus gegen ‚die da oben‘ ähneln dem politischen Projekt von Trump und sie wird versuchen, bei der Bundestagswahl im September 2017 viele Stimmen zu bekommen.
Die Strategie der großen Parteien in Deutschland ist jedoch nicht, den rassistischen Mobilisierungen etwas entgegenzusetzen. Stattdessen haben sie in den letzten 2 Jahren eine Reihe an Asylrechtsverschärfungen beschlossen, durch die Inhaftierung und Abschiebung vorangetrieben werden. Die Abschiebezahlen steigen – rund 21.000 Abschiebungen in 2015 und vermutlich noch mehr in diesem Jahr – und die Regierung will sogar nach Afghanistan abschieben. In den USA sind die Abschiebezahlen im letzten Jahrzehnt ebenfalls gestiegen und die Regierung von Obama hat insgesamt mehr als 2,5 Millionen Menschen abgeschoben.
Aus diesem Grund fordern wir einen sofortigen Abschiebestopp: #Not1More und #RighttoStayforAll
